There were over 350,000 votes cast in the week-long race for the Victorville Chevrolet 2024-25 Multisport High School Athlete of the Year polls.
Oak Hills’ Jacob Webster ended with 44.45% of 106,427 total votes cast in the boys poll, beating out nine other local athletes.
Webster ended with 47,304 votes, beating out Silverado’s Jace Weiss, who garnered 40.39% at 42,988 votes.
Webster is the Oak Hills starting quarterback, and also a pitcher and shortstop on the baseball team. He earned a spot on the Daily Press All-Area football and baseball teams this season.
Webster tallied a 4-2 record with 50 strikeouts and a 3.47 earned run average over 36 innings. At the plate, Webster hit for a .359 average with two home runs, 19 RBIs, 23 runs and 16 stolen bases.
On the gridiron, Webster led Oak Hills to a fourth straight Mojave River League title with 1,583 passing yards and 20 touchdowns, while also scrambling for 367 yards and three more scores.
