Watkins Glen International announced June 24 that the F.L.X. Summer Fest and associated camping options, originally scheduled for July 18-20, has been canceled.
Guests who had purchased tickets and/or camping for the F.L.X. Summer Fest will receive information at the email address associated with their ticket account regarding credit for future events at Watkins Glen International or refunds.
“While we had originally planned to welcome guests to Watkins Glen to enjoy the offerings from our local vendors, we have made the decision to cancel F.L.X. Summer Fest this year,” said Watkins Glen International Track President Dawn Burlew. “Fortunately, visitors to the area will still have many opportunities to experience our local wineries, distilleries and breweries, as many in the area have increased their event options throughout the summer.”
Burlew said WGI is looking forward to welcoming neighbors and guests in the region to come out to The Glen for other community events, races and family fun.
“We can’t wait to see everyone out at the track soon,” Burlew said.
The Finger Lakes facility is coming off the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen on Sunday. Upcoming events include appearances by the Sports Car Club of America Super Majors Tour June 27-29, the Trans Am Series July 11-13, and the Ferrari Challenge July 23-27.
NASCAR weekend takes over The Glen Aug. 8-10 with four different racing series in action.
Watkins Glen International was recently named one of USA TODAY’s 10Best NASCAR Tracks.
