Nothing Bundt Cakes brings viral flavors to Lodi shop

More than a decade ago, Mike Robinson and Beverly Robinson decided to open up a sweet business at Lincoln Center when they opened the first Nothing Bundt Cakes in Stockton.

The couple did it again and recently opened a second location in San Joaquin County. The new Nothing Bundt Cakes location is now open at 2630 W. Lodi Ave., Suite A in Lodi. The cake shop is next door to the new Club Pilates, opening soon.

“We are happy to not only share more joy with this community but to continue to grow our staff, many of whom have been with us for five years or more,” Mike Robinson said in a news release. “We have many guests from Lodi, and it’s great to be able to make enjoying our cakes more convenient for them.”

Lodi’s Nothing Bundt Cakes soft opened on March 29. The new location will have three grand opening events starting next week. The first celebration will kick off at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, with a ribbon-cutting event with the Lodi Chamber of Commerce.

On Friday, May 1, Nothing Bundt Cakes will be partnering with One-Eighty for a Charity Day. On this day, 20% of all the sales will be donated to the nonprofit, a news release states.

One-Eighty offers a teen center, counseling and resources for teens and their families, community and adventures, according to its website.

Mike said that they are about “kids, schools and cause,” making the partnership a great start to how they hope to impact the community of Lodi in a positive way.

On Saturday, May 2, starting at 9 a.m., Nothing Bundt Cakes in Lodi will give the first 50 guests (18 years or older) a free Bundtlets for a year punch card. The card will be valid for one Bundtlet a month for a total of 12 months. It is one card per household.

“The luscious cakes are baked daily using the finest ingredients, including real eggs, butter and cream cheese, in 40 unique designs and 10 delicious flavors,” the news release states.

There are more than 10 cake flavors offered at Nothing Bundt Cakes.

According to the Nothing Bundt Cakes website, Stockton’s location opened in August 2014 and has become “a beloved spot in Stockton’s Lincoln Center.”

Nothing Bundt Cakes was founded in 1997 by Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz, two mothers with the same dream, “to bake happiness into every bite,” the company’s website states.

“Fueled by friendship and an entrepreneurial spirit, they whipped up the brand’s very first Bundt Cakes in their Las Vegas home kitchens. The reaction? Pure joy,” the website states.

Nothing Bundt Cakes has 108 locations in California. Lodi’s Nothing Bundt Cakes is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday in Lodi.
