Lanes will be closed for nighttime roadwork this week on parts of Gene Autry Trail, Vista Chino and North Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs. The closures will happen each night from Monday, May 11, to Thursday, May 14.
Caltrans crews will perform diamond grinding to improve road smoothness, but one lane will need to be closed for roughly two miles at a time to conduct the operations.
All the roadwork is happening on sections where the roads are formally part of state Highway 111.

The closures will all take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
