Logan Reddemann could be an option out of the bullpen for UCLA

After missing over a month due to arm fatigue, UCLA Bruins ace Logan Reddemann could be making his return in the Big Ten Conference tournament this weekend. UCLA head coach John Savage threw out the idea on Wednesday, with the Bruins set to begin their tournament action on Friday.

Ben Bolch of the California Post reported that Reddemann, a highly touted MLB Draft prospect, could return as soon as Friday.

“UCLA baseball coach John Savage said Logan Reddemann, who hasn’t pitched since April 17 because of arm fatigue, could possibly pitch out of the bullpen in the Big Ten Tournament as he continues his ramp-up process.” Bolch reported.

If Reddemann does come out of the bullpen, it’ll be his first relief appearance of his UCLA career. Reddemann’s fastball has touched 99 miles per hour this season as a starter, meaning that there’s potential for a triple-digit heater out of the bullpen for the 6’2” Reddemann.

Reddemann has been terrific for UCLA this season, posting a 2.87 earned run average with 84 strikeouts in 59.2 innings. Reddemann made 10 starts, with his second-to-last being his most impressive, racking up 18 strikeouts in a win over Rutgers.

Even with the arm fatigue, Reddemann is one of the highest-ranked pitchers in this summer’s draft. ESPN’s Kiley McDaniel has Reddemann as the No. 23 prospect for the draft class and as the No. 9 pitcher.

2026 is Reddemann’s first, and likely only, season in Westwood. The right-hander pitched for UC San Diego for his first two collegiate seasons before joining the Bruins as a transfer.
