While signing autographs at Fanatics Fest, former Golden State guard Klay Thompson was continually asked about returning to the Warriors. Thompson appeared to be open to the idea, saying, “Never say never” to one fan, but to another fan, Thompson revealed a desire to retire with the team that drafted him No. 11 overall in 2011.
When a fan asked if Klay was returning to the franchise, the five-time All-Star said, “Shoot, I don’t know. I got one year on my deal. It’d be nice to end it in Golden State.”
If Thompson were to return to the Bay Area, he could join the farewell tour, which would likely include Steve Kerr and possibly Stephen Curry. Kerr is under contract for the next two seasons, but presently, Curry has a single year remaining on his deal.
