Grupe Real Estate announces closure after more than 50 years

Grupe Real Estate recently announced it will be closing after more than five decades serving the community.

Grupe Real Estate is a local real estate company with three offices in Stockton, Lodi and Rio Vista. Its Stockton location is at 3203 W. March Lane, Suite 130. The agency’s website currently lists 18 agents across all three offices.

“With heartfelt gratitude, Grupe Real Estate says farewell. For more than 50 years, it has been our honor to serve this community, guiding buyers, sellers, and generations of families who trusted us with one of life’s biggest decisions,” Grupe Real Estate said in a statement on June 16, posted on Facebook. “As Fritz approaches his 90th year, we close this chapter with pride, gratitude, and deep appreciation for the relationships built along the way. Your confidence has meant everything.”

Greenlaw Fritz Grupe, a local developer and farmer, founded Grupe Real Estate in 1973. Grupe Real Estate was the developer for some of Stockton’s most notable neighborhoods.

“Long before the tree-lined streets of Brookside, the waterfront homes of Quail Lakes, and the communities of Lincoln Village West became what they are today, Fritz Grupe had a vision for what Stockton could be. He didn’t just build homes, he built communities where families would grow, connect, and create lasting memories,” Grupe Real Estate said in a Facebook post in April. “That legacy still lives on in everything we do at Grupe Real Estate. It’s in the pride we take in this city, the way we guide our clients, and the standard we hold ourselves to every single day.”

Grupe also founded The Grupe Company in 1966, along with his wife, Phyllis Grupe. The Grupe Co. was behind the redevelopment of University Park.

Grupe Real Estate promotes itself as “Stockton’s most trusted name in real estate.”

“To every client, every agent, and every friend who has been part of our story: Thank you for the trust. Thank you for the years,” the real estate agency said. “Thank you for the legacy.”
