The Adelanto Elementary School District invites the public to escape the summer heat by visiting its community pool.
District officials announced that Summer Splash lifeguards are on duty and admission is free with a reservation for the pool, located at 17927 Jonathan St.
Pool reservations are required for open swim and no walk-ins will be accepted. Space is limited and times may fill up quickly, according to district officials.
There are no lockers so visitors are asked to watch their belongings.
For safety reasons, no food or drinks are allowed in the pool area. Proper swimwear is also required.
Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older.
Children under 48 inches in height or 10 years old and under must wear a certified life preserver, which is available at the pool. Additionally, children under 10 years old must pass a swim test to swim without a life vest.
