Every mother, mother figure or mom-to-be deserves to be treated like royalty on Mother’s Day, and for those visiting the Coachella Valley for the holiday, there’s plenty of ways to pamper the women in your life.

From specialty brunch courses to relaxing spa days to live entertainment events, the Palm Springs area has plenty of options to treat mom and have fun every step of the way.

Lulu California Bistro is offering a three-course brunch or dinner for moms and their families. The brunch options include yogurt parfait, watermelon gazpacho, eggs benedict and espresso crème brûlée. For dinner, choose from various soups and salads, entrees like steak, seafood linguini, chicken parmesan and desserts galore. Brunch is offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., while dinner is served from 3 to 9 p.m. The cost is $64.99 per person, while there’s a children’s brunch menu offered at $24.99.

Jackalope Ranch

Mom is the star of the show at Jackalope Ranch’s special Mother’s Day brunch. Offerings include egg dishes, omelets, frittatas, salads and dessert, each item individually priced. Brunch is offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Indio eatery.

Porta Via

Porta Via is offering its full-service food, drink and cocktail menu all day for Mother’s Day. Diners can find options such as French toast, eggs royale (smoked salmon and poached eggs with hollandaise on an English muffin with a salad), miso-glazed Chilean seabass, grilled Ōra King salmon, butternut squash ravioli and the Porta Via salad on the menu that day. Hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Rockwood Grill

Mother’s Day brunch will be hosted lakeside from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 10 at Rockwood Grill, located on the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa property. Guests can savor an array of chef-driven stations, from carving specialties like Santa Maria–grilled tomahawk ribeye and miso honey seabass to made-to-order omelets. There’s also the Grand Dessert Room, which is decked out with crepes, a donut wall, gelato station and a flowing chocolate fountain. Pricing is $124 per adult and $32 for children under 11. Wally’s Desert Turtle

Celebrate Mother’s Day in style at Wally’s Desert Turtle with a three-course prix fixe brunch starting at $75 per person. The menu includes deviled eggs, Scottish smoked salmon, spinach quiche, slow-braised beef short rib, raspberry mousse cake and a choice between champagne or a mocktail. Meals can be upgraded to $100 with entree substitutions of a herb-crusted lamb rack or jumbo stuffed shrimp.

Head to Agua Caliente Casino Palm Springs’ Steakhouse if an $87 steak frites with oyster mushrooms meal sounds like your kind of Mother’s Day activity. The special chef’s selection meal includes roasted oyster mushrooms, herbed frites, port wine jus and béarnaise sauce.

At The Steakhouse Rancho Mirage, come between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday, May 10, for a special $51 brunch deal including a blue crab and egg white frittata, crab cake, charred Jimmy Nardello relish, chive and horseradish chantilly cream and pressed truffle hashbrown. If you’d rather go to the same location for dinner, the special between 4 and 10 p.m. is a $72 three-course prix fixe meal featuring linguine and mussels, spring caprese salad and berry citrus meringue.

Cafe One Eleven at Agua Caliente Cathedral City is also serving brunch, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can choose from a variety of brunch favorites starting at $14. From 2 to 10 p.m., the restaurant will serve the following special: chicken francese for $26 per person, which includes pan-fried seasoned chicken breast, pan lemon butter sauce, linguine, broccolini, and a lemon wheel.

The Mother’s Day Soul Brunch at Hotel Zoso

Adobe Grill is offering a $55 per person Mother’s Day dinner that begins with entrees such as Ensalada de Chabacano with grilled apricot, arugula, burrata and ancho chile candied pecans or Gazpacho de sandia with watermelon, honey, tequila, mango, mint and jalapeño. For the second course, guests may choose pollo en mole verde, a crispy half chicken roulade served with rice, black beans and onion, or Atun al Pastor featuring ahi tuna with pineapple, corn, avocado and black beans. Dessert is berries con crema with tequila-infused berries, whipped cream and a cinnamon tuile.

PS Underground presents Petals and Prosecco, a whimsical Mother’s Day musical brunch with live performances, a three-course menu and plenty of bubbly. Cathedral City Library Community Art Show

More than 50 talented artists from across the Coachella Valley and Inland Empire will showcase their work on a variety of mediums during the Cathedral City Library Community Art Show. Free workshops are available all day Saturday, including those on painting pours, button making, poetry, wire wrapping, perler beads, embroidery and air-dry clay.
