Contract details for Rams' UDFAs released: Who did LA pay the most?

The Los Angeles Rams intentionally kept their 2026 draft class small, knowing how difficult it’s going to be to make the 53-man roster come the fall. They traded picks for Trent McDuffie and also moved up for CJ Daniels, turning what would’ve been 11 picks into only five.

They are giving plenty of undrafted rookies a chance to compete for a roster spot, though. Following the draft, they signed 18 undrafted free agents to contracts, bringing their rookie total to 23. While every draft pick gets some guaranteed money, undrafted rookies do not.

Spotrac released contract details for every undrafted rookie and only five of the Rams’ 18 signings received any guaranteed money. According to Spotrac, Syracuse tight end Dan Villari got the most among the Rams’ undrafted free agents this year. He received a $45,000 signing bonus, three times more than the next-closest player for Los Angeles; lineman Chad Lindberg got $15,000 guaranteed.

Below are the five undrafted rookies to receive any guaranteed money from the Rams.

The other 13 undrafted rookies signed three-year contracts worth $3.1 million each, with no guarantees. It’s fascinating that the Rams gave a tight end the most guaranteed money, considering the depth they have at the position.

With five quality tight ends already on the roster, it’s highly unlikely that Villari will make the team as the sixth tight end, but you never know. At the very least, his $45,000 signing bonus shows the Rams like him a lot, and he could be a practice squad candidate.
