Summer has officially begun—and so has wedding season.
Whether you’re planning your own big day or helping a friend or loved one, Carmel Mission Inn has you covered with its first-ever Wedding Expo, taking place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 25.
Featuring 20 vendors on site, attendees will be able to check out fashion, flowers, catering and more.
“Everything you could want or need for a wedding will be all under our roof—it doesn’t get more convenient,” General Manager Bob Lambert said.
Admission is free and everyone who walks through the doors will receive a complimentary cocktail and certificate for a free appetizer at the hotel’s Shearwater Tavern. There will also be a chance to win an overnight stay at the boutique hotel, which boasts modern rooms and a serene courtyard with firepits, a heated pool and a hot tub.
“Carmel Mission Inn is quickly becoming one of the most distinctive wedding destinations on the Central Coast,” Lambert said. “The architecture offers naturally photogenic backdrops at every turn, combining Carmel’s charm with a fresh, contemporary edge.”
The hotel can accommodate up to 300 guests, and their service philosophy is “warm, highly attentive and detail-driven,” Lambert said. “Our team closely collaborates with each couple, from custom menus paired with local wines to flow planning and vendor coordination—we ensure that the special day feels personal, polished and is totally stress free.”
The Central Coast is a prime destination for romantic getaways—its beaches and coves made the Monterey Bay the number one waterfront spot in the nation to get hitched. The climate makes the peninsula a year-round wedding destination, along with Carmel Valley, Monterey and Big Sur.
“The natural beauty of the Carmel area makes it a perfect wedding destination, and with the reopening of Highway 1, we’re definitely seeing a strong destination-wedding demand,” Lambert said. “The outdoor potential is endless, with ceremony locations ranging from beaches and wineries to ranches and courtyards with adobe wall backdrops.”
