Noah Griffin, football

Griffin has signed to play football at Fullerton College next year and anticipates a safety position on the team.

He has been a multisport athlete at Hesperia Christian, starring in football and basketball and earning multiple all-league awards in both sports. His titles include 2024 Agape Defensive Player of the Year, 2026 Agape League MVP and 2026 All CIF SS D2 Football.

He graduates with a 3.91 GPA.

Peyton Houlemard, volleyball

Houlemard will be playing volleyball at Columbia College next year as a libero and defensive specialist. Her impressive high school career includes multiple all-league awards in basketball and volleyball, including back-to-back Defensive MVP in the Cross Valley League in 2024 and 2025.

Houlemard will graduate from Hesperia Christian with an impressive 4.06 GPA.

Katelynn Carrol, rodeo

Carroll has secured a spot on an unusual college roster: rodeo.

She has committed to the University of Wyoming and will compete in breakaway and team roping next year.  Although Carroll did not compete athletically for Hesperia Christian, she has numerous awards and titles from the California High School Rodeo Association rodeo circuits. She was also the 2020 Junior High ALL-AROUND Rookie of the Year, and a six-time state qualifier in Break Away and Team Roping.

The rodeo jumper will graduate with a 4.06 GPA.

Eden Skinner, softball

When Skinner attends Concordia University next year, she will be on the women’s softball team. In addition to maintaining a 4.25 GPA, Skinner also found the time to accumulate multiple all-league awards in volleyball and softball, including two Agape league MVPs, two All CIFSS awards, 2024 Player of the Year D8 CIFSS, and 2024 CIF SS D8 softball CHAMPS.

Oak Hills High School

Emma Berman Healy, color guard

Berman Healy recently traveled to Alabama to audition for the University of Alabama Color Guard team. The audition process was highly competitive, but the Oak Hills senior was selected as one of only seven new members added to the team — and the only student selected from California.

Representatives from the Hesperia Unified School District have stated that they are proud to see Berman Healy represent Oak Hills High School at such a prestigious program and look forward to witnessing her accomplishments at the University of Alabama.

Kaylin Steede, wrestling

Steede has been a powerhouse competitor in wrestling and softball during her time at Oak Hills. District representatives say she has been a cornerstone of the Bulldog athletic department, known for her relentless work ethic and leadership.

Her ability to balance the physical demands of two sports while maintaining a high standard of excellence has set a new benchmark for future student-athletes at Oak Hills and earned her a spot on the Indiana Tech wrestling team.

Elizabeth Quiran, soccer

Quiran has officially signed her letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic career at Hastings College in Nebraska. She will join the Broncos’ prestigious women’s soccer program beginning in the upcoming season.

Faculty stated that Quiran has been a model of consistency and leadership during her tenure at Oak Hills, and that her recruitment into the collegiate level is a direct result of her relentless work ethic and academic excellence.

Joseph Hernandez, football

Oak Hills High School representatives stated in a press release that the school proudly celebrates one of its finest football stars, Joseph “Moose” Hernandez, as he takes the next step in his journey. Hernandez has signed with St. Mary’s of the Woods and will move to Indiana in the fall.

His impact helped drive Oak Hills to an incredible milestone: the program’s 5th consecutive Mojave River League Championship, cementing his legacy as part of a dominant era.

Sultana High School

Ivan Vitela, soccer

Vitela will continue his soccer career at Azusa Pacific University in the fall. During his senior season, he helped lead Sultana to an undefeated Mojave River League title and a CIF SS Division 1 semifinal appearance.

He was also part of the Sultana CIF SS Division 1 finalist team in his junior year. According to Coach Zamora, “Ivan’s journey has not been easy, but his resilience, work ethic, and determination have helped him overcome every obstacle placed in front of him.”

Parker Nunes, baseball

Sultana senior and two-year letter winner Nunes has committed to play baseball at Irvine College.

Coach David Booth stated that Nunes was Sultana’s go-to pitcher, whether he was starting or coming out of the bullpen. “He was a leader for us this year,” Booth continued, “and I know he will continue his success at the next level.”

Janey Gibson, soccer

Soccer captain Gibson signed with Cisco College in Texas, where she will continue her soccer and academic career.

Coach Garcia says Gibson was instrumental to this year’s girls’ soccer season success, and that she became one of the team’s key players and helped them advance deep into the CIF playoffs.
