Police are seeking an “armed and dangerous” Barstow woman in connection with the fatal shooting of another woman earlier this month, authorities said Tuesday, Jan. 27.
Alyse Brown, 36, is wanted on suspicion of murder in the Jan. 16 shooting death of 28-year-old Jessie Moore of Adelanto, according to the Barstow Police Department.
“Detectives obtained a warrant for murder for Brown, who is currently at large and is considered armed and dangerous,” the agency said in in a written statement.
The shooting took place about 11:40 p.m. in the 200 block of North First Avenue, police said.
Officers responded to numerous reports of “shots fired” when they were informed that Moore, who had been shot multiple times, had turned up at a local emergency room, police said.
She succumbed to her injuries at a hospital the following morning.
“Detectives interviewed several witnesses, gathered evidence, and identified the suspect,” according to the statement.
No further details, including a potential motive, were released.
