A 34-year-old man was gunned down at Barstow apartment complex last week, authorities disclosed Monday, March 23.
Sheldon Davis of Barstow died in the shooting, which took place shortly before 11 p.m. Friday, March 20, at an apartment complex in the 200 block of North Yucca Avenue, according to the Barstow Police Department.
Officers arrived to find the victims suffering from a gunshot wound, police said in a written statement. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
“Following a preliminary investigation, the incident was determined to be a homicide,” the statement said. “Detectives from the Barstow Police Department responded, conducted witness interviews, and processed the scene.”
The killer remained at large.
