The 2026 Chipotle-USA Hockey National Championships continue this week in several cities across the country, where over 7,000 athletes will compete for honors in American hockey at the youth, girls, and high school levels. Several New York-based teams enter the competition with a chance to bring home a national title, including local Tompkins Girls Hockey Association (TGHA) 14U team, the Ithaca Shooting Stars, who earned their first appearance on the national stage after a 3-2 overtime victory in the state tournament.
Here are the NYS teams competing at nationals:
Youth Tier I
13O & 14U – Plymouth, Michigan, from March 24-March 29
15O & 16U – Green Bay, Wiscosin, from March 24-March 29
18U – Las Vegas, Nevada, from March 24-March 29
New York Teams competing in the Youth Tier I include the Long Island Gulls (13O), Buffalo Jr. Sabres (15, 16U) and Saints Hockey Club (14U & 15).
Youth Tier II
14U – Dallas, Texas, from March 25-March 29
16U – Irvine, Calif., from March 25-March 29
18U – West Chester, Pa., from March 25-March 29
New York Teams competing in the Youth Tier II include the West Seneca Wings (14U), Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles (16U), Clarence Mustangs (18U) and Rochester Grizzlies (18U).
Girls Tier I
14U, 16U, 19U – Amherst, New York, from March 24-March 29
New York Teams competing in the Girls Tier I include the Skaneateles Lakers (14U) and Rochester Youth BK Selects (16U, 19U).
Girls Tier II
14U – Rochester, Michigan, from March 25-March 29
16U – St. Louis, Mo., from March 25-March 29
19U – Rockland, Mass., from March 25-March 29
New York Teams competing in the Girls Tier II include the TCH-Ithaca Shooting Stars (14U), Canton Blades (14U, 16U), Adirondack Northstars (16U, 19U), Malone 46ers (19U) and Amherst Lady Knights (19U).
High School
Plymouth, Minnesota, from March 18-March 22
New York Teams competing include the *St. Francis Red Raiders, Bellmore/Merrick Bulldogs and Nichols School.
*The St. Francis Red Raiders earned the High School 1A title.
