49ers star dances to K-Pop Demon Hunters song during win over Giants

The San Francisco 49ers finally put together a dominant performance in their Week 9 win over the New York Giants.

Of the 49ers’ previous five wins, only one was by double-digits. That was their Week 7 victory over the Atlanta Falcons where the final score in the 20-10 win didn’t come until the 2:26 mark of the fourth quarter. Sunday’s game was a beatdown where San Francisco took a 34-17 lead with 4:13 to go. They went on to win 34-24 at MetLife Stadium.

An easy victory on the scoreboard allowed the 49ers offense to soak in some of the atmosphere on the road in a game where it was audibly clear on the television broadcast that their fans travelled well.

One way tight end George Kittle took in the atmosphere was by jamming out to the stadium’s sound system as it blasted the hit song Golden from Netflix’s K-Pop Demon Hunters:

Great song. Great movie. It’s easy to see why Kittle got caught up doing some dancing.

He was asked about this moment after the game and talked about why he likes the film, and why he chose to dance.

“It is a great movie. I actually got made fun of by multiple people for wanting to watch it. I was like ‘look it’s the No. 1 streamed movie globally after two days. So I gotta watch it.’ Turns out, great movie. Good plot. Good story line. Character development. Great music. So they played the No. 1 hit from that, Golden, and I got a great energy. The crowd responded well. I was like ‘let’s just have a nice little dance party and get the juices flowing.’ And the Niners Faithful represented very well. So I was pretty pumped about that.”
