Kyren Williams was a man on a mission in 2025, putting together an excellent campaign. With an extension in hand, here are three stats to watch out for from Williams in 2026.
The four-time club
If Williams rushes for 1,000 yards in 2026, it would be the fourth time he’s hit that mark with the franchise, joining Lawrence McCutcheon and Eric Dickerson as the only players in franchise history to achieve that. Marshall Faulk and Todd Gurley are tied at three each.
Emulating his hero
Growing up in St. Louis, Williams was a fan of Steven Jackson. If he hits 1,000 yards, he would be the first running back to record four straight 1,000-yard seasons since Jackson recorded eight straight from 2005-2012. Williams joined Jackson and a few others with over 1,500 yards from scrimmage last season.
A McVay first
If Williams is the starter for this season, it would be the first time Sean McVay has started the same running back for four seasons in a row. Todd Gurley only played for McVay for three years, and he holds the longest such streak under McVay’s tenure.
It’s a testament to Williams’ skill and versatility. As a running back, blocker, and pass catcher, he truly can do it all.
