CHEBOYGAN — It’s been a long year, but Cheboygan High School’s Class of 2025 made it.
On Friday night, in front of a jam-packed crowd, the Cheboygan seniors were honored during a commencement ceremony inside the high school gymnasium.
Just minutes after Cheboygan students made their way to their seats, senior class president Gabe Sabolsky led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance.
The next speaker of the night was Cheboygan High School Principal Marty Mix, followed by valedictorian Riley Roznowski, who delivered a top scholar speech.
Shortly after, seniors in the Cheboygan band joined their classmates to play their final songs.
Once Cheboygan Area Schools Board of Education members were recognized, graduates were awarded their diplomas.
Capping off the ceremony was Mix, who delivered some final words to the 2025 graduates.
“Class of 2025, what an impact you’ve made — you are now officially graduated,” Mix said to students, who received a huge round of applause before exiting the gymnasium.
Prior to the ceremony, Cheboygan graduates took part in a car parade that started at the Cheboygan County building, went through downtown and eventually made its way back to the high school.
