MONROE — Someone named Sunshine left their mark at St. Mary’s Park.
On Saturday, May 31, at 10:42 a.m., officers from the Monroe Public Safety Department responded to a report of vandalism at the park, where they confirmed that graffiti had been spray-painted on the rooftop, reading “Sunshine Wuz Here.”
The police are seeking information to help identify the vandal.
“Vandalizing property with graffiti is a crime, and the costs of cleanup can be significant,” read a post on the incident from the Monroe Public Safety Department.
As of Tuesday, June 3, the police have neither leads nor a clue as to the motivation of the vandalism.
