With the price of groceries these days, people are on the hunt for a bargain.
And it doesn’t get much better than getting something for free.
One lucky person will win a year’s worth of free groceries at Holiday Market.
The grocery giveaway is sponsored by Royal Oak real estate agency Jim Shaffer and Associates at metro Detroit Holiday Market locations.
The giveaway features free groceries each week for 52 weeks. The total amount one random person will receive is $7,800 (or $150 per week). Shoppers can enter via QR code through Aug. 15 at all three Holiday Market stores: Birmingham, Canton and Royal Oak. One winner will be randomly selected.
After 70 years of family ownership, the popular Holiday Market on Main Street in Royal Oak was sold to new owners in December.
The longtime independent store is well known as a full-service grocery store featuring specialty offerings, including a vast gourmet cheese selection, and to-go items like salads, barbecue items from its smokehouse, soups, sandwiches and complete meals.
