Now she will try to help the Michigan State women’s basketball team in its quest to keep building under coach Robyn Fralick.

McCray announced her commitment to the Spartans via social media on Friday, April 24. She joins the MSU roster after averaging 6.5 points and 5.3 rebounds and starting 26 of the 34 games she appeared in for West Virginia. The 6-foot-1 McCray shot 59.5% from the field in her lone season with the Mountaineers, who finished 28-7.

MSU will be the fourth stop for McCray in her college career. She played at Northern Kentucky as a freshman and Wisconsin as a sophomore in 2024-25. McCray started 29 games and averaged 10.6 points and 7.1 rebounds in her lone season at Wisconsin.

McCray is the third player the Spartans have added in the transfer portal. MSU also has landed commitments from Butler’s Anna Wypych and Colorado’s Tabitha Betson.

The Spartans lost four players in the transfer portal with each finding a new destination. Jordan Ode committed to Georgia Tech, Ines Sotelo has landed at Stanford, Rashunda Jones is going to Arizona State and Juliann Woodard is headed to High Point.
