Michigan State joins others in pursuit of 2026 DE Aaden Aytch, currently committed to NIU

Michigan State is prioritizing the defensive end and edge position in the 2026 recruiting class, hosting and offering a multitude of prospects to try and sure up the future of the position. The list of edge prospects on the 2026 board just grew bigger on Thursday.

Lafayette, Indiana, native Aaden Aytch was the recipient of the Spartans latest offer in the 2026 recruiting class. He is a 6-foot-4, 220 pound edge currently committed to Northern Illinois.

The recruitment for Aytch has started to pick up some major steam in recent weeks, having picked up Big Ten offers from Minnesota, Purdue and Rutgers, with more teams likely to follow. The edge prospect has already scheduled an official visit with the Golden Gophers.

It is unclear how hard MSU is pursuing an official visit at this time, but it seems like something that would make sense for the coaching staff to do.

After a great conversation with @ChadWilt I am blessed to say that I have received an offer from @MSU_Football #GoGreen pic.twitter.com/dK8Zp5D2QL
