State Class D quarterfinal – Windham-Ashland-Jewett (4) 10, Chapel Field (9) 1: At Monroe-Woodbury. WAJ claimed its first Section 4 title, scoring three runs in first inning, six in second and one in the seventh. All-state pitcher Hannah Tuttle struck out 13 Chapel Field batters, walked three and gave up three hits. The Warriors (20-0) advance to next week’s Final Four in Binghamton. For the Lions (8-8), Bella Renwick (two hits) posted a sixth-inning RBI single, scoring Kelly Monahan. Meghan Winter fanned 10.

Section 9 Class D final – No. 2 Chapel Field 16, No. 1 Eldred 9: At Mount Saint Mary College. Winning pitcher Megan Winter fanned seven, adding two singles, a triple and three RBI. Abigail Spanjer had a single, double, triple and six RBI for the Lions. For Eldred, Sydney Furler had two singles, a homer and two RBI and Emma Bisland three hits. Giada Donato fanned seven in the setback.

Section 9 Class AA semifinal – at No. 1 Valley Central 4, No. 5 Warwick 3: Adrianna Ferraro scored on an Eleanor O’Neill single for a walk-off win. Samantha Hall hit a game-tying homer in the sixth and Mackenzie Hinspeter had a two-run double for Valley Central. Emily Sharpe got the win. For Warwick, Amanda Larsen had a single, double and RBI, Emily Gulick three singles and Gianna Ricco a double and RBI. The Vikings will face Minisink Valley in Saturday’s final at Mount Saint Mary College.

Section 9 Class AA semifinal – No. 3 Minisink Valley 10, at No. 2 Goshen 1: Aubrey Rotolo homered twice and drove in five runs. for the Warriors (17-4). Emily Smith won a four-hitter as Minisink seized a 3-0 first-inning lead and banged out 12 hits. Hannah Ringus had three singles, a double and RBI and Lyla LaBarbera had a single, double and two RBI. For Goshen (16-5), Leila Colon had two singles, Anna Mayo and Olivia Jordan (RBI) doubled and Bailey Gomulka singled. Addison Freiberger fanned four in the loss. The Warriors will face Valley Central in Saturday’s final at Mount Saint Mary College.

Section 9 Class A semifinal – at No. 2 Marlboro 3, No. 3 Port Jervis 1: Marlboro scored twice in sixth inning to snap 1-1 tie. For Port, Abbey Montalvo had a double and RBI and Payton Thompson and Kira Tigue had singles, Madison Dobbs won an eight-hitter, fanning three. The Dukes will face Saugerties in Saturday’s finals at Mount Saint Mary College.

Section 9 Class A semifinal – at No. 1 Saugerties 8, No. 5 New Paltz 4: The Sawyers seized a 5-0 lead in the third inning. Emily Cogswell had two singles and two RBI, Alanna Mower and Celina Vail each had two singles and RBI, and Sophia Tiano and Lauren Stinemire each had a single and RBI for Saugerties (12-8). Alaina Conrad fanned six for the win. For New Paltz, Madison Braren had a double and two RBI and Anna Maiale a double and RBI. For New Paltz (11-8), Madison Braren (2 RBI) and Anna Maiale (RBI) each had a double. The Sawyers will face Marlboro in Saturday’s finals at Mount Saint Mary College.

Ava Boffalo, Silvana Zamonsky, Avery Ogden, Madison Sheets (2 RBI), Mackenzie Castro (RBI), and Courtney Flynn added hits. Avery Ogden wo a one-hitter, fanning nine. For Kingston, Amelia Blazek had the hit and Isabella Turzik fanning six for the loss.

Section 9 Class AAA semifinal – at No. 2 Newburgh 10, No. 3 Monroe-Woodbury 1: Samantha Williams had two hits, two RBI and fanned five for the win. Julianna Clarino had three hits and an RBI, Ashlyn Leclair two singles and RBI and Parker Mullarkey had a 3-run homer and RBI single for NFA. For Monroe, Callie Exarchakis had a solo homer and Deanna Murphy doubled, and Isabella Brelesky fanned six for the loss.

Section 9 Class B semifinal – At No. 1 Spackenkill 9, No. 4 Dover 5: Spackenkill did not report the game. The Spartans seized a 7-0 lead after three innings. Addison Whitted had a double, two singles and two RBI, Aliyah Brady had a double and three RBI and Cadie Hanaburgh had two singles and two RBI. For Dover. Cadence Tetor and Charlotte Adams (double) each had two hits and Jolie Green had two hits and two RBI.

Section 9 Class B semifinal – No. 3 Chester 2, at No. 2 Sullivan West 1: Sullivan West did not report game.

Section 9 Class C semifinal – at No. 2 Burke Catholic 13, No. 3 Tri-Valley 8: Sofia Ortiz won a four-hitter, fanning nine. Cate Farrell had two singles, a double, homer and four RBI, Anna lawless a single, double and triple, Morgan Owen two singles and two RBI and Sam Falsetta a double and three RBI for Burke (14-3). For Tri-Valley, Avery Carrier tripled and fanned eight in the loss. Caitlyn Monell had a double and three RBI. Burke will face Pine Plains in Friday’s finals.

Section 9 Class AA quarterfinal – at No. 1 Valley Central 11, No. 8 F.D. Roosevelt 1: Emily Sharpe won a no-hitter, fanning 11. Emily Smit had a homer, two singles and two RBI, Audrey O’Neill had a two-run single, Adrianna Ferraro (triple), Shannon Hamilton and Eleanor O’Neill (double, 2 RBI) each had two hits and Samantha Hall had two singles and a double for VC, which will host Warwick in Thursday’s semifinals. For FDR, Rylee Armstrong scored and Jacqueline Sweed fanned four in the loss.

Section 9 Class AA quarterfinal – No. 5 Warwick 3, at No. 4 Rondout Valley 0: Emily Romig had three singles, Amanda Larsen and Autumn Levine doubled and Abi Walsh had the lone RBI for Warwick, which plays at No. 1 Valley Central in Thurday’s semifinals. Meghan Tennant fanned nine for the eight-hit win.

Section 9 Class AA quarterfinal – at No. 2 Goshen 8, No. 7 Wallkill 1: Goshen pulled away with four runs in fourth inning. Marley Northrup and Sophia Springer each had a hit and three RBI. Addison Freiberger allowed six hits and fanned seven for win. The Gladiators will host Minisink Valley in the Thursday semifinals. For Wallkill, Ariana Reyes had a hit and RBI and Emma Hunt took the loss.

Section 9 Class AA quarterfinal – at No. 3 Minisink Valley 10, No. 6 Cornwall 0: The Dragons scored twice in first, five in second. For Minisink, Brooke Dragone had a double, two singles and two RBI, Kiera Barry three singles and two RBI and Hannah Ringus a single and RBI. Emily Smith won a four-hitter, fanning nine. The Warriors play at No. 2 Goshen in a Thursday semifinal.

Section 9 Class A quarterfinal – No. 5 New Paltz 7, at No. 4 Highland 0: Gabby Torre won a three-hitter, fanning nine. Evelyn Gates (triple, RBI) and Ella Gates (2 RBI) each had two hits, Torre tallied twice and Lila Disciullo had two hits for New Paltz, which plays at No. 1 Saugerties in a Thursday semifinal. For Highland, Sierra Spinelli, Abigail Paserba and Gianna Jones had hits.

Section 9 Class A quarterfinal – at No. 3 Port Jervis 28, No. 6 Liberty 0, 5 inn.: Madison Dobbs fanned nine in a perfect game, adding two singles, a double and two RBI. Two hits came from Savannah Mioglionico and Charlotte Rivera (triple, RBI) and RBIs from Abbey Montalvo, Payton Thompson (2), Alabama Stankewicz, Mia Leeper, Peyton Gurliacci (2) and Gracie Gallo. Port plays at No. 2 Marlboro in a Thursday semifinal. For Liberty, Giuliana Wagner took the loss.

Port Jervis 7, at Washingtonville 3: Madison Dobbs won a three-hitter, fanning seven. Grace Gallo (2 RBI), Savannah Mioglionico (2 RBI) and Madison Dobbs each had two hits and Kira Tigue two RBI for Port. For Washingtonville (3-16), Megan Bushey, Vienna Conklin and Madelyn Krogslund (RBI) had hits, and Megan Malkin took the loss.

at Valley Central 9, Warwick 2: In a Div. II game, Emily Sharpe won a three-hitter, fanning 13, adding two home runs. Eleanor O’Neill had two doubles and single, Samantha Hall a single and triple and Adrianna Ferraro a double and Adrianna Ferraro a double and single for VC. For Burke, Anna Lawless homered and two hits came from Tori Kimiecik, Cate Farrell and Morgan Owen. Teagan Trank took the loss.

Sullivan West tournament semifinal – at Sullivan West 11, Monticello 4: Kearstin Knapp had two hits, Jocelyn Doyle homered and Mary Chellis fanned eight for the win. For Monticello, Kamila Collado and Reiley Scholicka had hits.

Sullivan West tournament championship – at Sullivan West 13, Eldred 1: Jccelyn Doyle fanned seven for the win. Mary Chellis had a triple, homer and four RBI for the Bulldogs. For Eldred, Madison Gatea had two hits, Olivia Gonzalez a single and RBI, and Giada Donato took the loss.

Sullivan West tournament consolation – Burke Catholic 11, Monticello 10: Sofia Ortiz (3 RBI) had three hits and Morgan Owen and McKenzie Lee each had two hits and two RBI for Burke (12-3). Sam Falsetta fanned six and Ortiz nine in relief. For Monticello, Taylor Crumley and Kamila Collado had two RBI.

Goshen 16, at Port Jervis 0: Addison Freiberger got the win, fanning 10. The Gladiators got three hits from Olivia Jordan (double, RBI) and Sophia Springer (homer, 3 RBI). Monroe-Woodbury 5, at Kingston 0: In a Div. I game, Isabella Brelesky won a two-hitter, fanning six. Ava Hayes (2 RBI), Deanna Murphy, Shayla Milligan and Callie Exarchakis had hits for Monroe. For Kingston, Isabella Turzik lost a four-hitter, fanning eight, and Addison Fabiano and Gabi Georges had hits.

MHAL National final – Pine Plains 14, Highland 2, 5 inn.: At Saugerties. Emma Alford (single, 3 RBI) and Peyton Burton (single, 2 RBI) each homered for the Bombers. Addy Farinaccio had three singles and RBI, Abbey Mayes (RBI), Anna Essery each had two hits for Pine Plains, For Highland, Violet Brienza, Taylor Anzalone and Kailyn Dequarto had singles.

MHAL American final – Marlboro 5, Saugerties 2: Down 1-0, Marlboro (“home” team) scored three times in third inning, twice in fifth. Sam Maleck won a two-hitter, fanning seven. Taylor Castellani had a two-run homer. Two singles came from Kiera Del Salto and Onyeka Okasi (2 RBI). For Saugerties, Ava Stinemire doubled and had an RBI and Liv Fyffe had a single. Alaina Conrad took the loss.

MHAL championship – Pine Plains 2, Marlboro 1: At Saugerties. Pine Plains (16-1) wins first MHAL title since 2016, scratching out a run in top of seventh inning. Emma Alford had game-tying RBI double in sixth inning. Eliza Baden, Anna Essery each had two hits. Talia Durant fanned 11 for the win. For Marlboro, Sam Maleck lost a nine-hitter, fanning seven. Katie Mohl had a double and the Dukes were held to singles by Kiera Del Salto, Olivia Hite and Taylor Castellani.

Taconic Hills 8, at Red Hook 6: Kaelyn Streib had a triple, homer and RBI and Maggie Keene two singles and two RBI for Red Hook. For Taconic, Alyssa Bleau had two singles, a triple and RBI and Kaylin Brazie a single, triple and RBI.

For Monticello, Ryleigh Schoonmaker singled.

at Cornwall 15, Washingtonville 6: In a Div. II game, Katelyn Greene and Kayla Slattery each had two singles and Violet Pruitt three RBI for Cornwall. Molly Violetti reached 100 career strikeouts. For Washingtonville, Vienna Conklin (double, RBI), Caroline Brennan, Sarah Davy and Rami Osorio singled.

at Port Jervis 10, Chester 0: Madison Dobbs fanned nine for the win. Savannah Mioglionico had a double and two RBI and two hits came from Kira Tigue (double) and Alabama Stankewicz (RBI) for Port. For Chester, Harper Melay had five strikeouts for the loss.

at Burke Catholic 11, Rockland 0: Sofia Ortiz won a one-hitter, fanning 18. Morgan Owen had three hits and three RBI, Anna Lawless had a hit, four runs and three steals and Kiera Pembridge had a hit and two RBI for Burke (3-0). For Rockland, Alex Potosek doubled.

Eldred 10, at Tri-Valley 4: Olivia Gonzalez (double, homer, 4 RBI) and Chelsea Potter (RBI) each had three hits for Eldred (1-1). Emma Bisland fanned seven for the win. For TV (2-2), Avery Carrier had a double, triple and three RBI, fanning seven in the loss, and Grace Deyo had two hits.

at Spackenkill 7, Our Lady of Lourdes 1: Cadie Hanaburgh won a three-hitter, adding two hit and an RBI. Addie Whitted (single) had two RBI and Olivia Simon (single) and Maddy Hasbrouck (double) each had RBIs for Spackenkill.

Kira Tigue (3 RBI), Peyton Thompson (3 RBI) and Madison Dobbs (single, 2 RBI) each doubled for Port (5-0, 1-0 Div. III). For Liberty (0-1, 0-1), Giuliana Wagner had a single and double.

Newburgh 6, Kingston 3: In a Div. I game, winning pitcher Samantha Williams won a four-hitter, fanning five, adding two hits and RBI. Madison Gravel had a double, two singles and three RBI and Parker Mullarkey had two hits and RBI for NFA. For Kingston, Addison Fabiano had a double and two RBI and losing pitcher Isabella Turzik had two hits and fanned three.

at Minisink Valley 10, Valley Central 2: In a Div. II game, Hannah Ringus had two doubles, a homer and seven RBI, Keira Filip had two hits and an RBI and winning pitcher Emily Smith fanned five. For VC, Emily Sharpe took the loss and Emily Smit hit a two-run homer.

at Goshen 12, Monticello 0, 6 inn.: In a Div. II game, Addison Freiberger posted a perfect game, fanning 16 of 18 batters, adding two hits and two RBI. Sophia Springer had four hits and three RBI; Lila Snyder had three hits and three RBI; Leila colon had three hits and one RBI for Goshen (1-1). For Monticello (0-2), Madison Taggart gave up 18 hits in the loss.

Tri-Valley 11, S.S. Seward 2: At Rock Sports Park. In a Div. V game, winning pitcher Avery Carrier fanned 17 and tossed a three-hitter, adding two singles, a double, triple and four RBI for TV (2-1). Brea Sheeley had two RBI and Caitlyn Monell (two singles) had one. For Seward (0-2), Emerson Dazi homered.

Warwick 9, at Washingtonville 2: In a Div. II game, Emily Romig, Meghan Tennant, Penny Beiling, winning pitcher Abi Walsh (12 strikeouts), Lorenza Brennie and Amanda Larsen knocked in runs for Warwick. For Washingtonville, Megan Bushey and Vienna Conklin each drove in runs and Megan Malkin took the loss.

For Highland, Spierra Spinelli had two hits, two runs and an RBI; Delainey Reid had an RBI double and Abby Paserba had an RBI single.

at Port Jervis 26, Monticello 1 (5 inn.): Port scored 12 runs in first, 11in third, collecting 26 hits. Alabama Stankewicz (3 RBI) and Mia Leeper (5 RBI, two doubles, triple) each had four hits; winning pitcher Abbey Montalvo (2 RBI, double; 6 strikeouts) and Kira Tigue (5 RBI, double) each had three hits.
