Meet the Greater Lansing all-state baseball players for 2025

State semifinalists Mason and Olivet and Division 4 state champion Portland St. Patrick were among the programs in Greater Lansing to have individuals named all-state by the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association on June 16.

Portland St. Patrick led the selections and had five individuals recognized in Division 4 after capturing its first state championship since 2017 with its win over Plymouth Christian on June 14.. Junior pitcher Brady Leonard, senior pitcher Brayden Simon, sophomore infielder Jerryd Scheurer and junior catcher Charlie Thelen were the players honored for St. Patrick, while Shamrock leader Bryan Scheurer was named the Division 4 coach of the year.

Mason had junior pitcher Colton McCaleb named first team all-state in Division 2 for his role in helping the Bulldogs capture their first regional title in school history and reach the state semifinals.

Olivet senior infielder Lalo Aguirre was named first team all-state in Division 3 and junior infielder Jack Masters earned second team recognition. Aguirre and Masters contributed to the Eagles reaching the state semifinals for the first time in program history.

DeWitt and Leslie each had multiple players selected all-state in their divisions. DeWitt junior infielder Traverse Moore was a first team selection in Division 1, while senior outfielder Elliott Larner earned second team accolades. Leslie had junior infielder Henry Bradford and senior outfielder Conner Marciniak named first team all-state in Division 3.

Williamston, Portland, Owosso, Dansville, Lansing Catholic and Fulton also had all-state selections. Williamston junior outfielder Hunter VanSickler and Owosso senior catcher Carson Moore were named first team all-state in Division 2. Portland junior pitcher Evan Thelen was a second team Division 2 all-state selection.

Lansing Catholic senior pitcher Drew Tolfree was selected first team all-state in Division 3, while Dansville senior pitcher and West Virginia commit Wyatt Mosley and Fulton outfielder Carson Litwiller were named to the all-state first team in Division 4.
