Update: Terrion Arnold was released by the Lions
Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold was granted a $1 million bond by a Hillsborough County judge on Monday, June 29, during his pre-trial detention hearing.
Chief Judge Christopher C. Sabella found probable cause for Arnold to face charges of armed robbery and kidnapping but Sabella denied prosecutors’ motion for the Lions cornerback to be held without bond.
Arnold’s $1 million bond was set with these conditions:
The state asked the judge to require Arnold to wear an ankle monitor, which the judge denied. Arnold’s attorneys argued that Arnold would not be able to play football with such a device.
Arnold has been in custody since his arrest last Wednesday.
Arnold is facing multiple felony charges which carry a potential sentence of up to life in prison. The Florida state attorney’s office has accused Arnold of “coordinating and directing the codefendants to lure three men to an apartment where the victims were robbed, beaten, and held at gunpoint.”
Arnold has denied involvement in the incident. Arnold’s lawyers maintain Arnold’s innocence, saying “there is no credible evidence linking Mr. Arnold to these allegations.”
