He is now tied for 10th in terms of total wins and eighth when it comes to dollars won on the long-running TV game show.

How much has he won?

On Friday’s episode, Ding amassed another $34,401. He finished ahead of Robyn Horn, a commercial real estate broker from Seattle, who won $10,000, and Emmett Laurie, a poker player from Philadelphia, who finished the game with $0 after wagering big and missing on the Final Jeopardy! clue.

Ding’s latest victory brings him to a 16-day total of $462,401. That ranks him eighth in terms of all-time winnings on the show, according to The Jeopardy! Fan, an extensive online database dedicated to “Jeopardy!” statistics.

What’s next?

Ding will go for win No. 17 in Monday’s episode. In Detroit, “Jeopardy!” airs on WDIV-TV (Channel 4) at 7:30 p.m.

Another win will break Ding’s current three-way tie with Ryan Long and Scott Riccardi and give him sole possession of the 10th most “Jeopardy!” wins ever, according to The Jeopardy! Fan.

The record for most “Jeopardy!” victories all-time is held by current host Ken Jennings, who won 74 straight in 2004, earning him more than $2.5 million.

Amy Schneider (40 wins) and Matt Amodio (38 wins) rank second and third, respectively.

Who is Jamie Ding?

Ding is a 2009 graduate of Grosse Pointe North High School. There, he was an honor student, a National AP Scholar and placed highly in the National Academic Quiz Tournaments’ high school championship, according to the Grosse Pointe News.

His father is Yuchuan Ding, a professor of neurosurgery at Wayne State University.

Now a bureaucrat and law student, Jamie Ding currently resides in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
