How many prime-time games do Detroit Lions have on 2026 schedule?

After the NFL revealed the Detroit Lions’ full 2026 schedule, how many of the Lions’ 17 games are prime-time matchups this season?

Detroit is initially slated to have four prime-time matchups and two stand-alone games this year, totaling six throughout the season.

The Lions’ Week 2 date at Buffalo is set for “Thursday Night Football” on Amazon Prime Video; its Week 4 and Week 15 dates at the Carolina Panthers and Minnesota Vikings will be on “Sunday Night Football” on NBC; and its Week 16 date versus the New York Giants will be on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football.”

The Lions also have two other stand-alone games on their 2026 slate. Detroit’s Week 10 date against the New England Patriots will be a 9:30 a.m. ET game on FOX as part of the NFL’s international slate. The Lions’ Week 12 Thanksgiving Day game versus the Chicago Bears is another stand-alone game at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.

While the NFL’s broadcast schedule could still add or subtract from the Lions’ current prime-time matchups with flex scheduling, Detroit appears to be one of the league’s marketable teams and should get plenty of national attention this season.
