There’s much to say about the NFL schedule for the Cincinnati Bengals.
For the Bengals, the bye week isn’t very nice. But the Bengals have some little schedule advantages, too. Plus, Joe Burrow’s team is favored almost every single week.
As it turns out, there’s also an interesting link to the 2015 season.
The Bengals start next year with seven 1 p.m. ET games in a row. But Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com noted this interesting idea: “It is the longest Cincinnati will have to wait for a night game since the 2015 season, when its first prime-time game came in Week 9 on Thursday Night Football against the Browns.”
The Bengals play at 9:30 a.m. ET in Week 9 in Spain before the 8:20 p.m. ET game on a Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
It’s just a fun little factoid. Bengals fans who have been around a long time remember 2015. The eight straight wins to start the year. AJ McCaron replacing an injured Andy Dalton the rest of the way. The playoff meltdown against the Steelers.
Given how this offseason went, the Bengals should at least be as entertaining as that 2015 team this year. On paper, more successful with a higher ceiling, too.
