And just like that, two Ohio State Buckeyes are off the board within the first six picks. Shortly after Carnell Tate was selected by the Tennessee Titans, Arvell Reese would hear his name called by the New York Football Giants with the No. 5 pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
It was a slight tumble in the draft for Reese as he was projected as high as No. 2 in the draft to the New York Jets. The Jets chose to go with Texas Tech pass rusher David Bailey, but Reese still ended up in the Big Apple. The question is, will he make the Jets regret passing on him while playing in the same stadium?
Reese had a breakout season with the Bucks on a record-setting defense, totalling 69 tackles, two pass deflections, and 6.5 sacks. More so, Reese is the kind of athletic freak that NFL teams love. He’s big, fast, and fearless. Welcome to New York, Arvell.
