Michigan’s entire Lower Peninsula is under a freeze warning overnight from Friday, May 1, until Saturday, May 2 as temperatures are expected to drop into the 20s in some places.
In the southern Lower Peninsula, lows are expected to fall into the 30s, while the northern region of the L.P. will see temperatures in the 20s. Residents are urged to protect exposed plants or outdoor plumbing before temperatures drop.
“Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing,” the National Weather Service said.
Sub-freezing lows are forecast in northern Michigan on Saturday night, May 2, as well, according to the Gaylord NWS office.
