Are you ready for farmers markets? Here's where to go in Livingston

It’s almost time for farmers market season to begin, and there are a handful of options to explore in Livingston County.

Each market houses vendors with plants, flowers, baked goods, artisan crafts, fresh meats, homemade items and, of course, fresh fruits and vegetables.

Here’s a non-exhaustive list of markets opening soon in Livingston County:

Howell Sunday Farmers Market

When: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sundays, May-October

The Howell Sunday Farmers Market begins May 3 along State Street and Clinton Street near the Historic Livingston County Courthouse. Learn more at tinyurl.com/3eu3adk3.

Pinckney Farmers Market

When: 4-8 p.m. Thursdays, May-September

The Pinckney Farmers Market begins May 7 at Putnam Township Square. Items include farm-fresh produce, baked goods, handcrafted gifts and more.

Fowlerville Farmers Market

When: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays, May-October

The Fowlerville Farmers Market begins May 9 on Mill Street in front of Torch 180 Cafe and Coffee Bar.

Hartland Farmer’s Market

When: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays, May-October

The Hartland Farmer’s Market begins May 16 at the Rural King Parking Lot, 10400 Highland Road. The market is “new and improved” in 2026, according to posts on social media. Shoppers can expect to find over 40 seasonal vendors, food trucks, beverages, ice cream and artisan crafters — along with local nonprofits and community organizations.

Brighton Farmers Market

When: 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays, May-October

The Brighton Farmers Market will return May 2 at 200 N. First St. The event includes more than 60 local vendors with produce, plants, flowers, baked goods, meats, cheeses, honey, and items like handcrafted jewelry, pottery and skincare.

There will also be a rotating line up of food trucks and live music, monthly-themed events, and activities for children.
