A Victorville man, who police described as a school proctor, remains in behind bars on suspicion of possessing child pornography and performing lewd acts in public.
Dylan Patrick Beckham, 22, was arrested on May 23 at a home in Victorville, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
On July 14, sheriff’s officials shared an update, explaining that after Beckham’s arrest, investigators obtained information that he allegedly used social media platforms to contact minors online to obtain child sexual abuse material.
Beckham used the usernames “lucidblue17” and “voidhubb” to communicate with minors, according to the sheriff’s department.
May arrest
Beckham’s arrest came after the Specialized Investigations Division-Crimes Against Children Detail received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning the upload of child sexual abuse material.
During the investigation, Beckham was identified as the suspect. At the time, Beckham was a proctor at Village STEAM School, sheriff’s officials stated.
Additionally, investigators located evidence that Beckham allegedly “recorded lewd images of himself while he was on school property,” according to sheriff’s officials.
Victor Elementary School District staff were notified of the investigation and cooperated with law enforcement. At that time, investigators did not believe any students from the school were victimized.
Beckham was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto. He is scheduled to appear in Victorville Superior Court on July 21, according to sheriff’s logs.
