Residents in Palm Beach County will have a new way to connect with local artists this summer.
The Cultural Council for Palm Beach County is launching its first Artist Marketplace, a four-event series designed to showcase the work of more than 50 creative professionals, according to a community announcement.
The events are scheduled for select Thursdays: July 16 and 30, and Aug. 6 and 20, from 3 to 8 p.m., at the council’s headquarters at 601 Lake Avenue in Lake Worth Beach.
Artist Marketplaces are places for art lovers
Visitors can browse and shop original artwork, including paintings, photography, jewelry, accessories, greeting cards and household items. The marketplace is free and open to the public, but guests are encouraged to RSVP.
“The Cultural Council is thrilled that more than 50 creative professionals are participating in this new series,” Jessica Ransom, director of artist services for the Cultural Council, said in a prepared statement. “With a diverse range of vendors offering affordably priced items, there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy and take home.”
Each event will feature live music, complimentary refreshments and food. Most participating artists will rotate throughout the four events, creating a new shopping experience each time.
Seacoast Bank, the Tourist Development Council, the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, the Florida Division of Arts & Culture and Florida Weekly sponsor the Artist Marketplace.
