Lorenzo Ray Coleman Jr., 25, was arrested in Lehigh Acres on July 10 by Lee County Sheriff’s deputies, accused of murdering two women in Immokalee and fleeing earlier that day.

The two victims were identified as Eliza Torres, 25, and her 29-year-old relative whose family wished to keep her identity private. They are identified in court records as R.R. and E.T. Both women knew Coleman, according to Collier County Sheriff’s deputies.

Coleman is charged with two counts of second-degree murder with a firearm, child abuse and grand theft auto.

A child witnessed the murders which prompted the child abuse charges, and the white Dodge Challenger Coleman fled the scene in was stolen.

Coleman’s arraignment is scheduled for Aug. 10, according to court dockets.
