Spectrum outage affects Green residents; city non-emergency lines back

Spectrum internet and phone services for Green residents are down due to an outage.

The outage occurred after a fiber cable was cut early in the morning, Spectrum spokesperson Chris Caporale said via email.

The city’s non-emergency business lines, which were down the morning of June 27, are back up, according to an alert the city sent a resident at 12:24 p.m. The resident then shared the alert with a Beacon Journal reporter.

Emergency lines were not affected by the outage, according to an alert the city sent the resident at 8:43 a.m. June 27.

The Spectrum outage, affecting internet and voice services, began at 5:14 a.m. June 27, according to another alert the company sent the resident.

In an update, the company sent a text message to the resident, received at 11:12 a.m., stating that the expected restoration time is now 3 p.m. June 27.
