There’s been another celebrity sighting at Cedar Point.
The Six Flags amusement park is a popular destination for thrill seekers from throughout the world for its collection of 18 roller coasters.
Actor Jeremy Renner, of Marvel fame, posted on social media June 23 that he along with his family visited the park and rode many of its famous coasters including the Gatekeeper and Top Thrill 2.
It was just a year ago that actor Daniel Radcliffe was spotted at the park with his family.
Celebrity sightings at the park are fairly commonplace.
NBA great LeBron James has visited the park frequently as part of a outings for his I Promise program to help Akron kids and their familes.
And Cleveland Heights native Travis Kelce has invested some of his NFL earnings with the Kansas City Chiefs to become a shareholder and brand ambassador for the park and Six Flags.
Other notable celebrity sightings over the years include singer Mariah Carey who famously walked along the park’s midway in high heels.
Over the park’s long history as a premiere Lake Erie resort includes visits by several U.S. Presidents from William Howard Taft to Franklin D. Roosevelt to Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Inventor Thomas Edison visited the park and stayed at the Hotel Breakers after a visit to his birthplace not far away in Milan.
Other notable guests who joined Edison on the trip included Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone.
There is a historical marker at the park marking the 1925 visit by Helen Keller at a convention of the Lion’s Club.
Cedar Point opened in 1870.
