Everything is coming togehter for the Houston Texans, including their offseason workout dates.
In just over a month, the Texans will be back in front of fans for the start of training camp. The NFL announced start dates for every team’s training camp in July, including the Texans at the Houston Methodist Training Center next to Reliant Stadium.
Texans rookies will report a week earlier than veterans, beginning their practices on July 21. As for veterans, they will report on July 28, thus putting the whole team under watch for the remainder of August ahead of the Week 1 showdown versus the Buffalo Bills.
The team hasn’t announced its full schedule of practices and events for fans to attend in person, though it is expected that Houston will have multiple practices open to the public in the early mornings on August.
Below are the locations and start dates for every team’s training camp.
Like in recent years, the Texans will have joint practices with two of their three preseason opponents before the team breaks camp. The Las Vegas Raiders will head to Houston on August 18 for reps before the second preseason game at Reliant Stadium. The Texans will travel the following week for a joint practice against the Carolina Panthers on either Aug. 25 or 26, ahead of the preseason finale.
The Texans’ first preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers is scheduled for August 13, with the regular season beginning on Sept. 13.
