The 2025-26 high school sports calendar has concluded, but The Dispatch’s weekly polls continue through the summer.
This week, Dispatch.com readers decide which central Ohio athlete had the best individual performance in a team state championship in 2025-26.
Voting is open until 4 p.m. June 26. Please do not email your votes; they will not count.
Here are the candidates:
Brady Barnum, Dublin Jerome boys golf: The junior shot a two-day 137 to earn individual medalist honors while leading the Celtics to the Division I state championship.
Addy Bocock, Danville softball: The senior pitched a four-hitter with 15 strikeouts and one walk as the Blue Devils defeated West Jefferson 2-0 in nine innings for the Division VI state title.
Sophia Borghese, Thomas Worthington field hockey: The senior scored twice as the Cardinals defeated Upper Arlington 3-1 to capture their fourth straight state title.
Emma Brandt, Bloom-Carroll softball: The junior went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and a run scored and pitched a five-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks as the Bulldogs beat Louisville 10-1 for the Division III state title.
Jamier Brown, Big Walnut track and field: The junior won the 100 and 200 meters and anchored the first-place 400 relay as the Golden Eagles shared the Division II state title with New Philadelphia. Brown’s 200 time and the 400 relay set OHSAA Division II and Division II state-meet records.
Levi Davis, Olentangy Orange football: The senior completed 10 of 18 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 93 yards and a score on 14 carries in a 28-14 win over Cincinnati St. Xavier in the Division I state final.

Campbell Heald, DeSales girls lacrosse: The senior tied her own title-game record of seven goals, leading the Stallions to a 21-9 rout of Bay Village Bay and the team’s third straight Division II state championship.
Jake Lloyd, St. Charles boys swimming and diving: The senior set a state record in the 50-yard freestyle, a meet record in the 100 breaststroke and helped the 200 free and 200 medley relays to state records, leading the Cardinals to a Division I title repeat.
Sophia Lopez, Hilliard Bradley softball: The junior hit a solo home run in the first inning and the go-ahead two-run double in the top of the seventh as the Jaguars beat Lancaster 7-5 for the Division I state championship.
