After battling weather conditions much of the weekend, the final contenders will be greeted by friendlier weather for the final round of the 2026 U.S. Open.
With calmer winds and comfortable temperatures, should set the stage for the final push for the title.
Might that be good news for Wyndham Clark? The former U.S. Open champion battled with several impressive par saves to shoot an even-par 70 on Saturday. But that score was good enough to keep his overall score at 7 under, where he enjoys a six-shot lead.

Southampton Round 2 weather forecast
According to Accuweather, the forecast for Sunday calls for a high of 78 degrees with winds out of the west-southwest at 8 mph. Gusts are estimated to get as high as 18 mph, which will make for earlier conditions to play in. There will be some cloud coverage but the rain shouldn’t join in with a probability of precipitation in the 25% range.
