EVANSVILLE — Lorraine Pool is still set to open this month on Evansville’s East Side, but later than originally anticipated.
The pool was tentatively set to open Friday, but renovations are still ongoing.
Parks and Recreation Executive Director Danielle Crook said the company working on the project has completed the main portion of the pool liner, and is now working on the diving well.
Crook said the department hopes to open Lorraine by June 26, but once work is complete they need two days to fill the pool and 48 hours for the Vanderburgh County Health Department to test the water.
Once the pool opens, hours are Monday – Saturday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday-noon to 5 p.m. The closing date of the pool is currently set for Aug. 9.
