Jay Obernolte faces challengers in District 23 race

Members of the U.S. House of Representatives run for election every two years, putting all 52 California seats on the 2026 primary ballot, including Congressional District 23.

District 23 covers portions of San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Republican incumbent Jay Obernolte was elected to the seat in 2023. He is facing a slew of challengers, including Democrats Tessa Lynn Hodge, Pat Wallis and Rene Longshore.
