Avelo Airlines has released its flight schedule through the 2026 holiday season out of Lakeland Linder International Airport.
Travelers can now book flights through the first week of January 2027 to schedule fall and holiday vacations, including the return of two popular seasonal routes.
“It’s time to start planning winter and holiday travel, and we are excited to extend Avelo’s Central Florida flight schedule through early-January 2027,” Trevor Yealy, Avelo’s head of commercial, said in a May 20 news release. “With Avelo’s affordable fares and industry-leading reliability, it’s the perfect time for travelers to get a head start on booking their holiday vacations or weekend getaways to their favorite destinations.”
Where you can fly to from Lakeland this holiday season
The low-budget airline carrier will provide flight service to the following destinations out of Lakeland Linder this fall and winter:
Flights to Michigan return for fall, holidays
Two popular routes providing passenger service between Lakeland and Michigan will return this fall, months earlier than originally anticipated.
Flights between Lakeland Linder and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (code DTW), start back up on Nov. 18 with service four days a week.
Avelo is also bringing back flights to Grand Rapids’ Gerald R. Ford International Airport (code GRR), starting on Nov. 19 with service three days a week.
Both routes were originally considered “seasonal” by the airline, stating they would align with the Detroit Tigers’ spring training games in Lakeland.
The 2027 spring training season is not expected to begin until mid-February, so travelers get the bonus of having the Michigan routes available during the holiday season.
