Rainfall to hit Corpus Christi area. Here's how long it will stay

Heavy rainfall is expected for the Coastal Bend starting May 19, according to the National Weather Service of Corpus Christi.

The chances of showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue through May 25.

Here’s what’s in the forecast for the Corpus Christi area:

May 19

A slight chance of showers is possible after 10 a.m. The day will have mostly cloudy skies with a high near 90. In the evening, there will be a 50% chance of rain with a low around 79.

May 20

There will be a 30% chance of rain after 1 p.m. It will be partly sunny with a high near 88. In the evening, there will be a 20% chance of precipitation with a low around 77.

May 21

There will be a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy with a high near 86. In the evening, chances of rain will increase to 80%. The low will be around 75.

May 22

There will be a 70% chance of precipitation, with a high near 86. In the evening, there will be a 60% chance of rain and a low around 75.

May 23

There will be a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high near 85. In the evening, there will be a 50% chance of rain. The low will be around 75.

May 24

There will be a 60% chance of rain throughout the day, with a high near 87 and a low around 75.

May 25

There will be a 60% chance of rain in the early morning, with a high near 85 and a low around 72.
