New York Giants set to begin organized team activities (OTAs)

The New York Giants will lean into Phase Three of their voluntary offseason program this week at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center, holding the first three of 10 scheduled organized team activities (OTAs).

The sessions will be conducted on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and we will catch our first glimpse of what John Harbaugh’s group looks like on the field. Of course, full contact is not permitted. There are also no pads other than helmets allowed.

11-on-11, 9-on-7, and 7-on-7 drills are allowed, however. It will be interesting to see how this team meshes after all the changes this offseason.

Thursday’s practice will be open to members of the media. Harbaugh and a select group of players will also speak.

The Giants’ second phase of OTAs will come at the end of the month (May 27-29), with the final four sessions held from June 1-4.

The Giants will conduct their mandatory minicamp from June 8-10 before the six-week offseason break.

Training camp begins in late July at the Greenbrier resort in West Virginia. The Giants plan on spending the first week or so of their camp there as the Quest Diagnostics Training Center undergoes a multi-million dollar overhaul and MetLife Stadium features the World Cup.
