New York Giants assistant general manager Brandon Brown will participate in the NFL’s revamped front office and general manager accelerator program, set for Monday and Tuesday at the league owners’ meetings in Orlando, Florida.
The program, originally launched in 2022 to promote diversity in leadership roles and paused in 2025, has shifted emphasis toward senior executives and coaches positioned for head coaching or general manager opportunities. This year’s cohort is more selective, drawing from over 60 nominations and featuring 18 executives alongside 16 coaches.
“The May accelerator is intended to focus on advancing talent from underrepresented groups,” the NFL wrote in a March memo, “while remaining open to qualified senior-level candidates of all backgrounds.”
Brown, a Long Island native and Fordham University graduate, serves as the top associate to Giants general manager Joe Schoen. He joined the organization in 2022 after rising through the ranks with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he contributed to their Super Bowl LII victory as director of pro scouting and player personnel.
His NFL career also includes stints with the New York Jets, Boston College, and Indianapolis Colts.
A fixture on the general manager interview circuit, Brown has drawn significant interest from teams seeking innovative front-office leadership. His attendance highlights his standing as one of the league’s top up-and-coming executives.
