Even though the Wisconsin Badgers continue to rank quite low in the national media’s rankings, On3’s Brett McMurphy has predicted (subscription required) they’ll be returning to a bowl game.
Luke Fickell’s 2024 campaign ended the Badgers successful run of appearing in 22 consecutive bowl games.
Not only did his squad miss it in 2024, but they did in 2025 as well. Back-to-back years without a bowl game have left this fanbase questioning the future, but thankfully, McMurphy believes this will be the year things begin to get back on track.
While there are no record predictions or anything of that sort, McMurphy has the Badgers projected to face Kansas in the Rate Bowl.
The Rate Bowl takes place in Phoenix, AZ, typically on the day after Christmas.
Wisconsin is no stranger to the bowl game, as it’s one they appeared in back on December 27, 2022, when they took down Oklahoma State, 24-17.
