ELDORADO – A fire damaged part of Generations Lanes in the town of Eldorado on Wednesday afternoon, but no injuries were reported, Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office said.
Fire reported at Generations Lanes in Eldorado
The sheriff’s office said its communications center received a 911 call at about 4:28 p.m. May 6 from a passerby reporting a fire on the south side of the bowling alley at N7676 County Highway C. A second caller said a gas meter may have been involved.
Deputies, firefighters find flames near gas meter
Deputies and the Eldorado Fire Department responded and saw active flames on the south side of the building, including near the gas meter area, the sheriff’s office said. Additional resources were requested because of the severity of the fire.
Kitchen and roof damaged; fire contained to southeast corner
The fire was extinguished and damaged the south side of the structure, the kitchen area and parts of the roof, authorities said. Firefighters contained the blaze to the building’s southeast corner, with most of the interior and exterior left undamaged.
Bartender and patrons evacuate safely; no injuries reported
A bartender and three patrons evacuated before emergency crews arrived, the sheriff’s office said. No injuries were reported among civilians or responders.
Multiple Fond du Lac County agencies assist at scene
The Eldorado Fire Department and Eldorado First Responders were assisted by the Lamartine, Rosendale and Van Dyne fire departments, along with North Fond du Lac Ambulance and Alliant Energy, authorities said.
Cause of Generations Lanes fire under investigation
The cause of the fire remained under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
