The Detroit Pistons are heading to the second round of the 2026 NBA playoffs after beating the Orlando Magic, 116-94, in Game 7 at Little Caesars Arena on Sunday, May 3.
It’s their first playoff series victory since 2008 and an unlikely win at that, as the Pistons were down 3-1 in the series before coming back with three straight victories.
And the run isn’t over yet. The Pistons will play either the 4-seed Cleveland Cavaliers or 5-seed Toronto Raptors, with those two squads meeting in Game 7 on Sunday night to determine the matchup.
Needless to say, Pistons fans are ecstatic to see the team win a series for the first time in nearly two decades, but mostly people couldn’t believe Tobias Harris’ Game 7 performance.

Harris finished the game with 30 points on 11-for-18 shooting (including 5-for-7 on 3s) while hitting timely shot after timely shot. From Kobe Bryant to Michael Jordan, the comparisons online were hysterical and – for one afternoon – accurate.
Here are some of the best reactions on social media to the huge Pistons win, their first series victory since 2008.
