FSU softball vs. Florida: Live updates and highlights

It is nearly time for the first pitch between the No. 12 Florida State Seminoles and  No. 7 Florida Gators at JoAnne Graf Field in Tallahassee, Florida.

FSU (39-7, 15-3 ACC) is on a three-game winning streak and is looking to boost its resume ahead of the NCAA Tournament as they push to improve its seed. The Seminoles have struggled against ranked opponents this year, and this will give them a chance to flip the narrative.

FSU has one of the best offenses in the country, scoring 7.9 runs per game and hitting .365 as a team with a .453 on-base percentage. Shortstop Isa Torres is leading the NCAA with a .589 batting average to go with 11 home runs, 14 doubles, a .649 on-base percentage, and 43 RBI from the leadoff spot.

Florida (43-6, 16-5 SEC) has won eight of its last nine games and is fresh off a series win over the Auburn Tigers. The Gators are hitting .366 as a team and scoring 8.2 runs per game. Their pitching staff has a 2.49 ERA, and opponents are hitting .204 off them.

FSU trails the all-time series against Florida 29-24, but has dominated its in-state rivals lately. The Seminoles have won seven out of the last eight meetings, including a 4-0 win last year in Tallahassee.
