Authors at McMillan
McMillan Memorial Library will host Authors at McMillan, featuring Dave Mangin at 6:30 p.m. April 9 at 490 E. Grand Ave. in Wisconsin Rapids. Mangin will be introducing his memoir, “Connecting the Waters: The Gifts of Three Boats.” The book follows three boats Mangin built and used to navigate through different chapters of his life. ‘Declaration 1776’ traveling exhibit
The South Wood County Historical Museum will host a traveling exhibit called Declaration 1776: The Big Bang of Modern Democracy from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, through April, at 540 Third St. S. in Wisconsin Rapids. The exhibit shows how the Declaration of Independence has motivated and inspired Americans to pursue equality and self-determination. Jukebox Saturday Night
The Arts Council of South Wood County will host Jukebox Saturday Night at 3 p.m. April 12 at the Performing Arts Center, 1801 16th St. S. in Wisconsin Rapids. Jukebox Saturday Night, managed by Glenn Miller Productions Inc., offers a Glenn Miller Orchestra-quality performance, playing hits of the Big Band Era of the 1930s, 40s and 50s. Tickets are $54 for adults and $15 for students and can be found online or at The Arts Council from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday at 1040 Eighth St. S., Suite 101 in Wisconsin Rapids.
